Feng Shui Tip: Auspicious and Inauspicious directions based on your Kua number
To get your Auspicious and Inauspicious directions you will need to know your Kua number first.
You can calculate your Kua number by following this simple formula
There are 9 Kua numbers from 1 to 9 and every individual is assigned a Kua number, based on their date of birth.
The Kua numbers can be divided into two groups:
East group and West group.
Kua numbers: 1,3, 4, and 9 fall into the East group.
Kua numbers: 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8 fall into the West group.
Every Kua number has four good or auspicious directions and four not-so-good or inauspicious directions.
Each of these directions have a specific meaning connected to it.
You can calculate your Kua number by following the steps given in the examples below:
The calculations are different for males and females.
Once you know your Kua number you can check out your four Auspicious as well as your four Inauspicious directions.
The four Auspicious directions include: Success, Health, Love and Personal Growth direction.
The four Inauspicious directions include: Bad luck, Five Ghosts, Six Killings and Total loss direction.
Once you know all your good directions, try and face one of them all the time.
If you are looking at improving your health then you should face or sleep towards your health direction most of the time.
If it is love you are looking for then face or sleep towards your love direction.
Remember that Feng Shui is all about energy.
When you face your good direction, it brings good energy to you. Likewise, try and avoid your bad or inauspicious directions as they bring bad energy to you.
Try and avoid facing any of your bad directions.
If you are stuck and have no choice then you can face the first unlucky direction also known as ‘Bad luck’ direction, as it is the least harmful out of the four.
As you can see the last direction in the table is called the ‘Total loss’ direction, this is the worst direction and one should avoid facing it at all cost.
By following these simple steps you will be able to improve your overall luck, success as well as your health and relationships .
There is one thing that you need to keep in mind though.
Every year the stars move around from one direction to another.
Some of the stars bring good luck with them, like wealth luck, romance luck etc., and others bring bad luck, like ill health, relationship problems etc.
We usually recommend not to face the direction which has a negative star, even if it is your success direction.
You can use one of your other three good directions instead.
For example, in 2021, Southeast has the Five Yellows, which is a negative star and it is not a good direction to face this year.
So, if your Kua number is 1 and your success direction is Southeast, we would recommend facing either North, South or East direction instead.
Feng Shui needs to be updated yearly as every year the stars move around, and depending on their character, they bring good or bad energies to each direction.
Once you understand this and apply the yearly cures, you will be able to stay safe even in the face of adversity.
