Hi guys!

Today I am going to talk to you about the right kind of plants that you can place near your front/main door.

We will be using the principle of Feng Shui when choosing these plants.

I cannot give you all the names of the plants (because I wont know them ;)) but I can make sure that you understand what to look for when picking new plants for your home.

The first thing to keep in mind is that the main/front door is the channel through which energy enters your house.

Make sure that you keep this area neat and clean.

Get rid of dry leaves or over grown plants around the front of your house and especially near the front door.

Look inside the main door and see if there is anything that is blocking the energy from entering your house.

If you have a shoe rack, either outside the main door or inside the door, move it or put an enclosed cupboard or shoe box, so that the positive energy doesn’t pick up the negative energy associated with shoes and sandals.

Check for other things like old magazines or newspapers that have a tendency to sit in a spot and become part of the furniture.

One of the easiest to forget about it an old pot sitting near the front door with a dead plant in it.

Look around your main door and see what needs to be moved or fixed.

Once you have cleared all the extras from near your main door you can start creating good energy there.

The best way of doing so is by placing healthy plants there.

Now, before you go out to buy new pots and plants, keep these things in mind.

The plants that you choose for the front of the house should be of evergreen variety.

The leaves should ideally be glossy and round.

One of my personal favourite is the Fiddle Leaf Fig ? and Rubber fig or Rubber tree.

Avoid spiky/prickly plants. Cactus and roses with thorns would be examples of such plants.

Try not to have weeping varieties of trees in your garden either.

You can have flowering plants near the front door BUT make sure that you move them when they are not flowering.

I know that it will be a bit of pain having to move the pots every time they are not flowering, and for that reason you could place plants which stay evergreen (and do not flower) near the front door.

If you like to have blooming flowers near the main door, just plan your pots according to different seasons and keep changing them with flowering plants.

It is easy to do this if you have a gardener but if you have to do it yourself then you might want to go with the first option of having evergreen plants there.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the pots can be quite heavy and big.

So do some research and plan your pots and plants so that you don’t have to move them all the time.

You can use these tips when choosing plants for other parts of your home as well.

Keep your plants well watered and healthy by taking good care of them and their healthy energy will bring good health and good luck to you and your family.

Have fun gardening!
