Today we are going to have a look at your ceiling!
What is the colour of your ceiling?
Majority of the houses tend to have a light shade on the ceiling. It usually varies from a white to off-white/cream colour.
I have also seen ceilings painted in darker shades of blue or black, and I must say they do look stunning.
But, as ceilings symbolically press down on people living under it, it is a good idea to keep a few Feng Shui tips in mind when choosing the colour of the ceiling.
- Ideally, it is a good idea to have the ceiling painted in lighter shades of white or cream as it creates a feeling of openness and space, and also helps in lifting the mood of people living there.
- Darker shades of Blue and Black colour represent Water energy in Feng Shui and water above the head usually tends to bring problems to the residents.
- Avoid having too many patterns or designs on the ceiling as they can create hidden poison arrows which can harm the residents of that space.
Keeping things plain and simple above, i.e. on the ceiling, is a good idea and good Feng Shui too.
So, if you are planning to paint your ceilings in a darker colour, keep these tips in mind, and try and use a lighter shade to lift the energy of the room and to create a harmonious space.
REMEDY:
For those of you who just love the dark coloured ceilings, or already have a darker shade on the ceiling, you can fix the problem (to a certain extent) by shining lights up towards the ceiling to symbolically lift the energy.
But, if you feel your life is not going smoothly, then you might want to rethink the use of a darker colour and change the colour of the ceiling to a lighter shade.
