Hi there.

Hope you are having a good day.

Today, I am going to talk to you about the front door.

The front of your home, office or business is the face of your building and the front door acts like it’s mouth. Therefore, extra care should be taken of this area.

So, if you are designing your new home, office or business premises, or are looking at renting or buying, there are a couple of things that are key and should be kept in mind.

1. The access to your front door.

2. The number of doors at the front of the building

Let’s have a deeper look at these two points.

1). Access to the front door:

Have a look at your front door.

How does the path leading to the front door look like?

Is it a straight path or a winding path?

One should avoid having straight lines/paths leading straight to the front door of the house or office building.

It is preferable to have a winding path (leading to the door) as it helps the energy to meander and slow down before it reaches the mouth of the building, hence creating a harmonious energy and space.

A straight path leading to the front door creates fast and negative energy which harms the door and hence its occupants.

That is the reason that houses at T junctions aren’t considered good by people who know about Feng Shui.

You will find that the negative effect of a T junction would be even more strong as compared to a straight path leading to the house because of the size of the road and the amount of traffic too.

But, if you know Feng Shui, you also know that Feng Shui usually has a remedy or cure for the problem too.

The way to fix this problem is by creating a barrier in front of the road, either by planting trees or placing potted plants to slow down the fast energy hitting the main door.

You can use this principle for your apartment as well.

If your apartment is at the end of a corridor, it will be in a straight line and the energy will be too strong and negative for the occupants of this apartment.

If you are already living in such an apartment, try and slow down the energy by placing some pots in the corridor. If that is not possible, you can hang paintings on the wall near the front door.

2). Number of doors at the front:

Does your home or office have more than one front doors?

If you answered yes, then the next thing to check is if you are using more than one door to enter and leave the house?

When there are two or more doors being used as the entrance of the house it represents a person with two mouths, which leads to confusion, discord and arguments in the home or office.

For a harmonious home, there should be only one main door being used all the time.

Keep this principle in mind when adding a ramp for disabled people too. The ramp should join the area leading to the main door so that it doesn’t inadvertently create disharmony in the house.

So, the main thing to keep in mind is that there should be one main door used by the whole family.

By following these simple principles you will be able to create more harmony in your home and work/business.
