In Feng Shui, the use of a compass is indispensable. A compass helps us find the orientation of a building, house or a room. It gives us different geographic cardinal directions, namely, North, South, East, West, Northwest, Northeast, Southwest and Southeast. Each direction is divided into degrees: North is at 0 degree, East is at 90 degrees, South is at 180 degrees and West at 270 degrees and so on.
As you would recall from one of my earlier posts, every direction has a certain aspiration attached to it, according to Feng Shui. Here is a quick example of some aspirations and their related directions: North stands for Career luck, South for Fame and recognition, Southeast for Wealth luck etc. (You can find out more about the different directions and their aspirations in one of my earlier posts).
In addition to those aspirations, each direction can have an additional meaning for an individual. You are assigned a Kua number, from 1 to 9, which is calculated from your date of birth.
Once you know your Kua number, you can then work out your four good directions and the four, not so good directions as well.
Out of the four good directions, there is one direction which is your Wealth direction.
When you have found out your Wealth direction, the next step would be to activate your it.
I have provided the Wealth directions for all the Kua numbers, both male and female.
KUA NUMBER. EAST/WEST. WEALTH DIRECTION
Kua Number 1 – East Group – Southeast for both males and females
Kua Number 2 – West Group – Northeast for both males and females
Kua Number 3 – East Group – South for both males and females
Kua Number 4 – East Group – North for both males and females
Kua Number 5 – West Group – Northeast for males and Southwest for females
Kua Number 6 – West Group – West for both males and females
Kua Number 7 – West Group – Northwest for both males and females
Kua Number 8 – West Group – Southwest for both males and females
Kua Number 9 – East Group – East for both males and females
How to activate your ‘Wealth’ direction?
Now let’s get down to the application part. It is quite simple actually. You can put items or figures that represent wealth. Think of items or things that you feel represent wealth. There are some general/universal items which represent wealth, like money in the form of notes and coins, gold, silver etc. Then there are some items which denote affluence and wealth in some cultures. For example, in Chinese culture the money frog is supposed to bring you wealth. They also have the money tree, which has semi-precious stones stuck to them and many other items. Once you have decided on the item/items you would like to display, place them in your Wealth corner. Here are some examples of items you can place in your wealth direction – you could put some real money or fill a bowl with coins, you could place a picture of a car or a house, a three legged toad sitting on coins, Chinese coins or you could place a water feature in that corner. There are a lot more traditional Chinese wealth enhancers available in the market but I have mentioned a few to make it easier for you to apply this tip straight away.
Do remember the Feng Shui taboos associated with water. Avoid having water features in the bedroom or on the right hand side of the door (inside looking out).
The best place to keep these cures is in the Family room/Lobby of the house or the formal lounge room.
It is a good time right now to activate your personal wealth corner as we have just entered the Chinese New Year.
Once you have placed the wealth enhancing cures in the right direction, you will definitely see an improvement in your finances.
I wish you lots of prosperity and success in the Year of the Earth Dog.
Have a lovely day.
