The art of balance or is it the balancing act?

What would you call it?

Hey everyone!

A very good morning to you.

I am sure most of you have heard that Feng Shui is all about balance.

Creating balance in your environment sounds pretty simple, but is it?

How do you know if your personal space has balance?

Is there a particular way one can achieve this balance?

Well…

Creating balance in your space can be very personal.

It will vary from one person to another.

Your personal style, likes and dislikes will come into play too.

But, there are certain guidelines that you can follow to create the much talked about ‘balance’ in your space.

Before I delve into this ‘Balancing act’ let’s have a quick look at why we need to create balance in our home or office.

When there is balance in a home (or office) it brings peace of mind and happiness.

Balance also brings in harmonious energy which brings more prosperity and contentment.

And how do you achieve this balance?

It is very easy to achieve once you understand the basics of Yin and Yang.

Yin and Yang are the two sides of the ‘Balancing act’.

Let’s have a look at what constitutes Yin and Yang energies.

Yin is dark, quiet, cold and heavy.

Yang is light, loud, warm and bright.

You can use the Yin and Yang forces in your home to bring about balance.

Make sure you do not have too many quiet rooms, some rooms need to be more Yang (like the family and dining rooms) and others need to be more Yin (like the bedrooms and meditation or relaxation rooms).

Similarly, you can play with the use of light in your rooms and outside as well.

Areas around the front door should be more Yang and you can create it at night by keeping the light on.

Just remember that you should not have too much Yang or Yin in your space all the time.

The balance of noise and quiet, light and dark, warmth and cold needs to be maintained most of the time.

This fine balance of energies brings a harmonious balance in your life and you will feel it every time you or others step in.

So, have a look around and see how you can improve the balance of energy in your home or office.

And remember, the creation of balance is an ongoing job.

Stay tuned to the energy of your home and keep working on it to keep improving your life.
