I have been talking to you about how Feng Shui can help you create a good life for you , a life full of good luck, abundance of health, money, happiness and success.

But, you have to make sure that you do the following first, to ensure that your results come quickly and all the Feng Shui tips work more efficiently for you.

  • Be observant
  • Be thorough
  • Be persistent
  • Be patient

In short, BE – O,T,P,P 😉

Be observant:

  • Look around your home/living space. What do you see? Can you see the areas where energy/chi is getting stuck and becoming stagnant? Can you see areas where you need to pay more attention to keep the energy moving?
  • Remember, Feng Shui is all about the energy surrounding you. When the energy around you is stale and stagnant, it will show up in your life by slowing down the flow of money and success in your life.

Be thorough:

  • So, before you apply any other Feng Shui tip in your room/home, stop for a second and have a look around. Look for the corners that have been collecting all the magazines you have been reading or thinking of reading? Look for shelves that are collecting all the unwanted stuff?
  • The idea behind this exercise is to help you create a Feng Shui way of looking at things. Once you understand the way Feng Shui works, you will automatically start noticing and paying attention to the way the room is feeling and how you can make it better.
  • Keep in mind that each object in your room has an impact on your life. If the objects in a room bring happiness to you and are in good shape, then that will effect you positively. If the objects are broken, cracked or faded, they will bring that kind of negative energy in your life.
  • Look for broken things and objects which have faded or look worn out. If they do not hold any special meaning to you, then remove them and add something new.
  • When you add new objects or clean you space regularly, you rejuvenate the energy of the space, which translates to you personally, it means that you will feel invigorated and active as well.

Be persistent:

  • If you find it hard to get in the mood for a cleanup, then get a friend over, or a few friends, for that matter. Tell them to help you reorganise one room at a time. This way you can have a catch up and get your rooms ready in no time. I must warn you though, if your friends are anything like my friends, you might end up doing nothing except chatting over cups of tea or coffee, which is totally fine too :). You will have an excuse to meet up again ;0).
  • A lot of times you will find that you might not see things that could be hiding in plain sight, just because we get so used to having them there that we consider them part of the room. One way of dealing with this is to take a picture of each room and then looking at it objectively. Look at it and decide what needs to stay and what can go. If you absolutely love something, keep it, if you are unsure about it, let it go.
  • Vacuum the room and dust every decorative object nicely.
  • Dust the windows as well.
  • Get rid of cobwebs if any and light a nice candle in the room. I avoid using sprays or any other chemicals in my home.
  • Use a metal bell and ring it as you walk around the room. This will help lift the energy of your room. You can also use a singing bowl, if you have one, and enhance the quality of the energy in your home.

Be patient:

Once you have done a good clean out, take another picture of that room and keep it handy. Use it as a reference picture and aim to keep your rooms clean most of the time.

If the room starts getting messy, get the picture out and use it to motivate yourself and fix it again. This is an ongoing process but it is so worth the time and effort you put in it.

Now that you have cleaned out every room of stagnant energy, you are ready to apply the Feng Shui cures and tips. And the effectiveness of these tips will increase manifolds and they will bring quicker and better results to you and your home.
