Hey there!
A word of caution as we start the month of August.
According to the Chinese tradition, this month is known as the Hungry Ghost month.

As the name suggests, spirits are free to roam the earth during this period.
For those of you who do not believe in spirits, you can look at it in a different way.
This month’s energy is considered to be too Yin.
Everyone of us should make an effort to create more yang energy in our homes.
This can be easily done by using bright lights and playing music in the house.
You need to be more careful with your health and well-being in this month, especially young children and older people.
There are some basic precautions that everyone should follow this month:
- Avoid going out late at night and staying out at night too.
- If possible, avoid going for a swim at night (This is easy for us here as we are in the middle of winter in Australia ?).
- Take care while driving or crossing the road.
- Avoid getting married or starting a new business this month.
There are a lot of rituals that one can follow to appease the wandering spirits.
The simplest one would be to offer incense (to the spirits) on a regular basis.
You can talk to your house spirits and ask them to keep you safe, while offering the incense.
You can do prayers on a regular basis too.
If you would like to know more about which prayers to do, you can write to me on shellysingh168@gmail.com and I will let you know.
I wish all of you a safe and happy month ahead.
Much love.
