As we move closer to the start of the Chinese New Year, which is on the 5th of February this year, we (Feng Shui followers) start doing some necessary changes in our living space.
If you would like to get your home or office/business ready for the Year of the Earth Boar, then you can follow these simple steps and create more abundance, happiness and success in your life.
The first and foremost would be to clean your house thoroughly.
You should ideally get rid of all the extra stuff you might have lying around the house. Give it to a charity and help someone else. If it is something that cannot be used, then let it go to the tip.
As you may know, Netflix has added Marie Kondo’s series on tidying up. If you feel you need inspiration, then these series are a very good way to start. And if you are someone who is already good at culling clutter, you can still pick up ideas on storing things in a more organised way.
Once you have taken the first step of decluttering, then you can start giving each room a deep clean.
Get all your cleaning equipment out and cover every inch of each room, dust it and wipe it down. Go through the whole house room by room, till you have covered every room.
Now that you have done the most tedious part of ‘getting ready for the new year’ project, you are ready to take the next step.
In the Year of the Boar there are certain sectors or directions that should not be disturbed by way of digging, banging or chopping trees.
These sectors include the Southwest, part of Northwest and West directions.
- Southwest has the Five Yellow star in 2019.
- Northwest 3 has the Tai Sui or the Grand Duke of Jupiter this year.
- And, West has the 3 Killings in 2019.
Keeping these areas quiet will keep you safe through the year.
If you have or had plans to do major renovations in these areas, then my suggestion would be to postpone them till next year.
Better still, get in touch with a Feng Shui Consultant near you and work out all the areas that should not be disturbed this year.
You can be more proactive and plan all your major projects by making sure that the areas you plan to work on have good energy in the year you plan to work on them.
If for some reason you cannot postpone the construction or renovation, then get in touch with me and I will give you a remedy to follow, which will let you carry on with your work without upsetting the energy of the sector.
