Happy Chinese New Year to all!!!
Wishing all of you great happiness and prosperity in the Year of the Earth Boar 2019.
The Chinese New Year is celebrated all over the world, pretty much like Christmas, with family reunions, lots of food, fireworks and paying respect to one’s ancestors.
This is a time when families prepare their homes for good luck and good fortune for the coming year.

Each year has an animal sign of the zodiac assigned to it.
There are 12 animal signs: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar/Pig.
As we bid farewell to the Year of the Earth Dog and get ready to welcome their Year of the Earth Boar, it is important to get our homes ready for the energies of the new Year.
As you know, the energies around us keep changing on an Yearly basis, monthly basis, daily basis and even hourly basis too.
Keeping this in mind we have to tap into the positive energies to improve our well-being, health, success and prosperity. In the same way, we have to make sure we subdue or suppress the negative energies and continue to enjoy good luck and success through the year.
The Year of the Earth Boar is very significant as it marks the end of a 180 year cycle.
There are a lot of traditions and customs followed by the Chinese at this time of the year, in preparation for a good year.
We can all benefit from these traditions and create good luck for ourselves and our families.
Generally speaking, this year is a promising year in all regards.
Peace and prosperity dominates this years’ energy.
There is ample opportunity to make money.
Spend more time in the center of your home to tap into the wealth energy of this year.
Growth energy is slow this year and one will have to work harder to help materialise success, but we can use Feng Shui to help fix that too.
There are chances of water disasters this year.
Avoid water sports and water travel this year.
Try and limit travel in general too.
There are three promising stars in this years’ Paht Chee chart:
The Star of Scholastic Brilliance which bring Academic success to those who put in effort. This star can be activated by placing symbols of education in your home.
The Star of Prospects brings wealth luck to everyone, and especially to people born in the year of Rabbit and Tiger. Activate this star by placing a wish fulfilling tree near you.
The Star of Diplomat brings peace and harmony in relationships. This star can be activated by placing a pair of boars in the Northwest of the house.
In addition, there is another Star which makes an appearance in the Paht Chee this year. This is the Squandering Star. As the name suggest, there are chances of wasting or misusing money this year. Make sure you take good care of your money.
All the Matriarchs need to take extra care this as they have the Five Yellows in their sector.
Patriarchs enjoy the luck of Number #9 star in their sector which brings promise of future prosperity to them.
I am sharing some tips on how to create positive energy in your home to introduce good luck for the coming year.
These tips are very simple to apply and everyone can do it easily.
An important thing to remember is that you do not need to get too obsessed or paranoid if you cannot get everything done.
A positive frame of mind can most often change your luck.
Do what you can and visualise a happy and successful year for yourself and your family, and you will be on the way to a good year.
Make it a habit to say your daily positive mantras/sayings a few times in the day.
Let’s have a look at some of the things you can do to create good luck for yourself in the coming Year of the Boar:
- Introduce spring energy in your home by placing flowering plants near the front door.
- Open up all the windows in your home and let fresh air as well as fresh energy in, especially on the 5th of February 2019.
- Try and wear red on the first of day of Chinese New Year. Red is considered to be an auspicious colour for celebrations and this year red is the colour for money and wealth.
- Avoid sweeping or mopping for the first three days of the Chinese New Year, i.e. 5, 6, and 7 of February.
- Put all the cleaning equipment out of sight for the first three days.
- Get together with your family and have a meal together on New Year night.
Ideally you should have your cures and remedies in place by the beginning of the Chinese New Year, but if you haven’t got your cures in yet, don’t panic, you can get them in when you are ready.
The reason we say that is so that the changing energies are already controlled and they do not get a chance to create bad luck for you.
You can apply all the elemental cures now and then add your other Feng Shui cures to them.
I wish all of you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. May the Year of the Earth Boar bring lots of happiness to all of you ?.
