Let’s have a look at the Monthly Flying Star Update for the month of October (8th of October – 7th of November 2019)
The basic rule that we have to keep in mind is that if the star in a particular direction is good then we should spend more time there, and if the star is negative, we should avoid spending too much time in that sector/direction.
There are two stars in each sector all the time, one is the Yearly star and the other is the Monthly star.
When we apply the remedies we take both the stars into account.
For beginners, the easiest way to use this information would be to look at the direction and see what you need to do, and apply that in the right direction.
You should be applying the remedies for the Yearly star as well as the Monthly star too.

SOUTHEAST:
This month the Southeast part of the house has the Illness star (Number 2). This star affects the Liver, Tongue, Pancreas and Limbs.
People born in the year of Snake and Dragon, and the eldest daughters, should take extra care of their health. If they have their bedroom in the Southeast part of the house, then they should try and move to another room for this month. If they cannot move then they should make sure that they display a Wu Lou on their bed side table. They can also carry the Wu Lou key chain or the Medicine Buddha key ring with them.
The South East has the Violence and Betrayal star this Year. Make sure you display the Blue Rhinoceros and Elephant Anti-Burglary sticker or plaque here.
SOUTH:
The Burglary star is in the South this month which brings the risk of money loss. Try and keep the South part of your house quiet.
You can place a water feature in the South to control the effects of the Burglary star. Display the Anti-burglary sticker on the doors and windows.
People born in the Year of Horse and middle daughters need to take extra care this month. They should carry the Anti-Burglary key ring or the Kuan Kung Anti Burglary Amulet with them.
The combination of the Monthly star and the Yearly star brings auspicious energy with it. Those of you who have your main door in the South should have success in your projects.
SOUTHWEST:
Southwest has the Misfortune star (also known as the Five Yellows) this Year, and this month the Magnifying star (Number 9) is also in the Southwest which increases the effect of the Five Yellow star.
For those of you who have the main door in the Southwest, you need to make sure that you keep this area quiet. If possible, use another door to enter and leave the house. Make sure you display the Five Element Pagoda here.
People born in the Year of Sheep and Monkey, and all Matriarchs should take extra care this month. They can carry the Five Element pagoda key ring with them to stay safe.
You can also place a Laughing Buddha in the Southwest as it lightens the general mood of an area. Avoid leaving stoves or candles unattended as there is a danger of fire too.
EAST:
East has the Victory star this month which brings financial luck to the residents of this area. This star brings the luck of recognition and promotion too.
You can activate this star by placing a Golden Dragon or a water feature here. You can also place the Victory Banner here.
Try and spend more time here this month. People born in the Year of Rabbit and the eldest sons will feel the energy of this star more.
CENTRE:
The centre of each house has the Quarrelsome star this month. This star brings hostile energy of gossip and arguments. If you spend a lot of time in the centre of the house then you will feel its effect more.
You can place a bowl of red apples in the centre to control the negative energy of this star.
Another way of controlling this star is by placing a red carpet in the centre of the house. If you find tempers flaring, keep your cool and walk away from arguments.
WEST:
The Monthly Five Yellows is in the West this month.
If you have your main door in the West or if you were born in the Year of Rooster, you will feel the negative effects of this star. You should carry the Five Element Pagoda key ring with you this month. You can introduce more Metal energy by wearing white or metallic colours.
Make sure you place a Five Element Pagoda in the West part of your home too. If you are sick or pregnant, and your room is in the West part of the house, then avoid sleeping in this room this month.
NORTHEAST:
The Heavenly star pays a visit to the Northeast sector this month. This star brings increased opportunities as well as chances of windfall luck for people who have their main door in the Northeast.
People born in the Year of Ox and Tiger and the youngest son, will feel the effect of this star more.
Do make sure that you have placed the remedy for the Yearly Flying Star as well. This Year the Sickness Star is in the Northeast and to control its energy you need to place a Brass Wu Lou here.
NORTH:
North has the Prosperity star this month. This star benefits all the houses that have their main door in the North and people born in the Year of Rat and the middle sons.
Place a wealth vase or a money frog here to capture the prosperity luck. Try and spend more time in this area to benefit from this star.
NORTHWEST:
Northwest has a lucky star this month bringing luck to the Patriarchs and heads of family, as well as all those born in the Year of Dog and Boar.
The lucky combination of the monthly and Yearly stars creates good business luck. You can display a Double Humped Camel here to increase your success and profits.
For those who are single, they can display a pair of Mandarin ducks or love birds in the NW to increase their chances of finding love. They can also carry the double happiness key chain with them.
This sector is also good for students as the energy of this sector enhances concentration and productivity this month. You can place symbols of education in the Northwest like, the 13 level Bejewelled Wisdom Pagoda.
