Moving in to a new house is always very exciting for a couple. A lot of planning goes into the whole process, from the colour of the curtains and furnishings, to the furniture selection for each room.
It is also a time when you can use your knowledge of Feng Shui and create a wonderful space for yourself and your family. A space which will bring happiness and success to all the members of the family, again and again. The choice of furnishings and the furniture is a very personal thing but if you keep the key ideas of Feng Shui in mind, you can create a beautiful, personalised space and reap its benefits too.

So, what are some of the things that you can do to ensure that the couple enjoy their move into their new home?
Here are some tips that you can apply when setting up your bedroom.
• Avoid hanging a painting or picture of flowers in the bedroom, especially that of red Peonies. The presence of flowers in the bedroom can lead to infidelity in a marriage.
• Do not display paintings or pictures of nude women or men in the bedroom. This can lead to having a third person in the marriage.
• Mirrors should not reflect the bed directly. This again suggests the presence of a third person in a marriage. If you do have a mirror that reflects the bed and you are having problems with infidelity, then the best way of stopping it from getting worse is, getting rid of the mirror. If you cannot remove the mirror then try and cover it up with a curtain or nice fabric. The idea is to stop the bed from being reflected in the mirror.
• Any other reflective surface that catches the reflection of the bed should also be covered up or moved away. These can cause the husband/wife to be away for long periods of time, either for work or business.
• If the bed is not being reflected in the mirror then it is not considered to be a problem.
You need to remember that Feng Shui is a very versatile art/philosophy. It provides guidelines which we need to mould to fit in our day to day life. These guidelines help us enjoy a good life. You can use these guidelines and blend them with your personal style and ideas, and make your space as personal and magical as you like.
