South corner of a house is the corner of fame and recognition, according to Feng Shui.
The reputation of the residents living in a house with bad Feng Shui (in the South) will suffer if not remedied with correct measures.
Likewise, poor Feng Shui in any corner of the house will create specific problems, depending on the direction they are in. (If in North, it will create career related problems, in the Southwest – relationship/marriage problems, Southeast – money related problems, etc.)
Have a look at your house and work out the different directions, i.e. North, South, East, West, Northwest, etc.
Once you know where all the directions are, see what you have in the South of your house.
Poor Feng Shui in any direction can be because of the presence of a bathroom, toilet, store room, garage, laundry, long corridors, or just a collection of rubbish or junk in the said direction/corner. It could also be because of an outside affliction, like the corner of the neighbour’s roof, or the corner of a building etc.
Now that you have had a look at the South corner of your house, you know whether it is afflicted or not.
An afflicted South corner can create bad luck for the residents of the house and they might find it hard to command respect.
People might talk ill of the family and their reputation is afflicted negatively.
If the South corner of the house is really badly afflicted, then the head of the family can even suffer from serious damage to his reputation, bringing scandal or disgrace to his name.
The severity of the bad luck depends on a number of factors too, like the personal birth chart/astrological luck of a person, the Feng Shui of the house, the Personal Feng Shui of the person, and the combination of luck created by the whole family.
So, how can you fix these afflictions?
The remedies are pretty simple to apply.
The main thing is to be aware of the presence of these afflictions.
Counteracting bad Feng Shui in the South:
- You can use plants in long corridors to slow down the flow of the chi.
- Plants can be used to cover the edges of pillars and walls.
- Metal wind chimes, with five rods, are effective too, just make sure that you do not stand or sit under the wind chimes.
- Lights are a great remedy to fix the negative Feng Shui of south corner. Crystal Chandeliers in the South are excellent to enhance your reputation and fame.
- You can keep the South part of your garden well lit too, to energise it.
- If you are building or renovating, and plan to install a fireplace, then place it in the South corner/part of the room. This will help attract fame and recognition to your life.
- You can place a Phoenix in the South of your house, to attract opportunities and fame. If you cannot find a phoenix then you can place a Rooster or a Peacock, either as a garden sculpture, or as a picture.
- If you have a bathroom, toilet or a store in the South, then place a five rod, metal wind chime in the bathroom to counter it’s effect.
Once you have applied the relevant remedies, you should feel the shift in the energy and an improvement in your fame luck.
