A while ago, one of my friends had asked me if living near a flyover was bad.
She was concerned about the health of her parents who lived in Sydney and their apartment was in a high rise building which had a flyover just outside their apartment.

I explained to her that it was indeed bad to live in a building which was seemingly being cut/sliced by a flyover.
The energy created by the fast moving vehicles combined by the energy of the sharp edge of the flyover would have wreaked havoc to the buildings around it and hence to the residents of those buildings.
I sadly learnt after sometime that she had lost her mother to illness and her father was also not keeping too well.
I am not in touch with her now but I hope her father moved out of that apartment and is well.
Let’s have a look at different road scenarios and how they can affect the well-being of the residents living there.
In this post I have covered living near T-junctions, dead ends or cul-de-sacs, highways, flyovers, rivers and tall buildings.
If you have a situation which is not covered in this post, then send me a message with your scenario and I will try and help you out with it too.
- Living at dead ends can slow down the chi/energy immensely and hence slow down the growth potential of the people living in the house.
- Living near a highway can harm the residents too, as the energy here is too fast and can turn hostile.
- Living near flyovers have the same effect as a highway, and even more as the flyovers can have a greater impact on certain levels of a building, depending on the height of the flyover.
- Having a river at the back of a home can also be a negative feature. It can mean missed opportunities as well lack of support for people living in such a house.
- The direction the river flows in can greatly impact the luck of the family living there too.
- Living amongst two tall buildings, on each side of your house, can block any positive energy from reaching your home.
- If the front of your home faces a hill or higher ground, that too brings blockages in your life.
- If your house/main door faces a straight road, or your house is at the end of a T-Junction, that too creates the energy to flow too fast towards the house and creates a negative impact.
As you can see, these are some of the scenarios that can create problems for people living in such houses.
The good news is that most of these issues can be rectified by using a little ingenuity.
The easiest way to deal with these problems is to try and block out the problem area from view, either by planting trees or a hedge, placing a row of pots with tall plants or building a wall.
The idea is too make sure that you are not being hit by the fast moving energy.
For cases where the energy is too slow, you can add wind chimes or a small wind mill/whirly bird kind of moving/spinning garden features near the front part of the house, to help create more movement of energy.

(These pictures are taken from two Australian websites which sell whirly garden features: aussiespinners.com.au and whirly.com.au. You can google for more companies in your country and find one which you like ?).
Placing a bird bath to the left side of the main door can help attract birds to your house and create movement too.
There are a lot of different ways of fixing and improving the energy around a house.
You just need to me aware of what the problem could be and then fix it.
Usually the Feng Shui remedies are cheap and easy to apply but in some cases it can be a bit more expensive or more involved.
Have a look around your house and try and note what all is around it.
Can you see any problem areas?
Try and fix the issue with one of the above remedy.
Once you have remedied the problem you should feel and see a difference/improvement in your life within a few days.
Remember, Feng Shui starts working the moment you apply the remedy.

If you feel your life can do with a “pick me up” then give Feng Shui a go.
You will be amazed by the results.
And please share my posts with your family and friends. I will be very grateful and let them experience the beauty of Feng Shui too.
If you would like to talk to me about my Feng Shui services then get in touch with me through phone or email and I will explain it to you.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Lots of love.
