Every house has a kitchen, right?
Some houses might even have two kitchens, one dry kitchen and the other one, wet kitchen.
When building/renovating or buying a house, there are a few things that you should be aware of regarding the placement of the kitchen and more specifically, the placement of the Fire as well as Water element in the kitchen.
Fire element in the kitchen is represented by the stove or the oven.
Water element is the sink, where the tap is. The refrigerator and dishwasher also belong to this category.

Now, if we look at the elemental cycle, water destroys fire.
Keeping this in mind, have a look at the placement of the stove and sink in your kitchen.
Is it placed opposite each other, or is it placed adjacent to such other?
When a house has these conflicting elements together, it can lead to quarrels and misunderstandings among the family members.
The stove (fire) and the sink (water) should neither be near each other, nor should they face each other.
Luckily, “Feng Shui comes with a few Plan B’s”, and that is what I love most about it. There is usually a cure or a fix for most situations.

If the stove and sink are placed in a conflicting way in your kitchen then you can apply the following remedies to fix the problem.
So, if the stove and sink are near each other, then you can place a potted plant in between the two and create a barrier.
If they are opposite each other, then again you should try and place a divider or, if possible, have some kind of a barrier between both the elements.
The idea behind it is to make the energy harmonious, and this then translates to a more harmonious life for the people living in the house.
