Let’s become a Feng Shui detective and see if there is anything wrong with the painting/paintings that you have in your bedroom, and how you can fix it.
Bedroom is a place where we go to rest and recuperate. When we are resting, we are at our most vulnerable state.
Keeping this in mind, we should be mindful of what we have in our bedrooms as they will have a greater impact on our health and well-being.
Let’s talk about the art in your bedroom.
Have a look around your bedroom and see what you have on the walls?
You could have your wedding photo right above your bed or you could have a painting there.
If it is a painting then my next question is, what does the painting depict?
Depending on your personal taste and style you would have decorated your home.
And that is exactly how your home should be, right?
But, I want you to mix Feng Shui with your personal style so that you enjoy your life more and keep improving it too ?.
Getting back to my question, what does the painting depict?
If it is a painting of water and it is right above your bed then my suggestion would be to move it out of the bedroom straight away.
In Feng Shui, water above you suggests financial loss.
And, in my experience it also causes drinking problems.
I have personally seen quite a few houses where they had paintings or prints of water falls or of the beach, above their bed and there were alcohol related problems in all of them.
If you too have a picture of water above your bed or in your bedroom, and you have been experiencing problems with money and alcoholism, try moving the painting to another room.
The longer the painting of water stays there, the bigger the problem can become and harder to rectify.
Some other examples of paintings (or prints) that should be avoided in bedrooms include, paintings of fierce looking animals, weapons and abstract art.
Abstract art can be a bit tricky.
Usually, abstract art has pointed corners or broken or incomplete parts. Or they can just be too busy, colour wise or subject matter wise.
This can create unsettled energy in the room and can create problems with sleep as well.
Similarly, a picture of a mountain right above your bed is not recommended either.
Symbolism plays a great role in Feng Shui.
A mountain is a big mass even if it is only in a painting or picture. Move it away to another wall.
Another one is that of a nude woman or man. It is best not to have these paintings in your bedroom. It can create extramarital affairs.
Now that you understand how paintings or art pieces can impact you in your bedroom, put your detective hats on and get sleuthing ?.
Check your bedroom and see if there is anything that needs to be moved or removed ☺️.
Becoming aware of your surroundings is the most important step towards creating good Feng Shui.
Keep these Feng Shui tips in mind and use your personal style to create a space where you feel comfortable and are protected.
