As human beings we have to do a lot of things to make our lives comfortable and enjoyable. In pursuit of this goal we tend to become so focused on the end product that we stop enjoying life.
I know most of you will be thinking that it is hard to enjoy yourself when you are trying to make ends meet or pay the bills.
Whatever your excuse/thought may be, there is always a possibility to slow down a little somewhere in the rush, and take out time for yourself. It can be just 5 minutes here or there, where you are with yourself, doing nothing.
When you get those 5 minutes, I would like you to close your eyes and just breathe. As you breathe in, thank the universe (or your god) for the wonderful gift of your life. Just being alive and being born as a human being is a gift. Cherish it.
Try and look at the blessings you have in your life.
You might not have a lot of money, or your relationships might not be perfect, but… you are alive and you have the ability to change everything.
You have the ability to focus on the positives that you already have. It could be anything from your loving children, your pet, your parents or a friend.
Remember when you focus on something it comes back in your life, again and again.
If you keep focusing on the lack of money, loving relationships, your bad back etc. you will keep inviting more of that energy in your life.
“Think of the negative thoughts like unwelcome guests” ~ Shelly Singh
You wouldn’t want to invite unwelcome guest over everyday, would you? Then why keep thinking of all the negative thoughts and keep inviting them in your life everyday?
So, look for all the positive things in your life and be grateful for them, and by doing so you will be able to create more of those things in your life.
There is no end to our wants and needs, right? And, it is ok to have all the needs and wants as they help us achieve more and work harder. But, if you decide to be happy with what you have now, and enjoy the blessings that you already have, then you shift the energies from that of lack or not having enough, to that of abundance and happiness.
This shift in your thought process is the key to your success.
Once you understand this and start focusing on all the good things in your life, more of that will come into your life.
I love this quote by Socrates,

If we look around, we will see people who are going through a lot more than any one of us right now. It is very easy to think that you might be the only one suffering from misfortune, but look again.
So, count your blessings and be thankful for what you have and keep a positive attitude in life, in every situation and you will come out victorious every time.
Have a wonderful day.
