Do you feel sad and sorry for yourself, or do you generally feel happy about where you are at life?
Hey everyone!
How is life going for you?

You know, your self talk as well as your general talk (when you are talking to your close friends and others) can tell you a lot about how you feel about yourself and your life 🙂

So, if you are not too sure whether you feel sorry for yourself or not, you can get a good idea about it by listening to yourself or by looking at our life.
Next time, you start talking to a dear friend, your colleague or a relative, pay close attention to the theme of your chat.
If you are complaining or unhappy about a certain situation, person or your job, or you feel sad about your relationships or the lack of them, that is a good indication that you feel sorry about your life situation.

And I don’t mean just random complaining once in a while, I mean the constant, regular complaining about life situations.
Once you have established the general tone of your life, what next?
Should we feel sorry that we fall into this category and complain more?
No!
That is going to add more fuel to the fire.
The next step is to accept it.
A lot of people think they are very positive and happy, and often wonder why things keep going wrong for them all the time.
Well, here is the reason why…
When you keep complaining about something, you keep creating it in your life!
Your words are so much more powerful than you realise.
Every time you complain, get angry about people/situations, feel frustrated etc., you bring more of that in your life.
I am talking about the day in, day out kind of complaining or feeling sad about your life.
Occasional outbursts are exempted 😉
So, the next step would be to try and stop yourself from complaining, whining, whinging, feeling sad etc.
You might say, ‘But life is so unfair, it keeps bringing situations in my life that make me complain.’
And I agree with you fully.
Life/destiny can bring problems when you least expect them, or on a continual basis, for some people.
But this happens when you are unaware of the power of your thoughts, feelings and words.
Once you become aware and start applying these principles, you start living a more mindful life, filled with happier times :).
And once you are aware, you can start changing your internal dialogue/mental chatter, as well as your ongoing chatter with friends and family.
You can start by focusing on what you have in life instead of focusing on what you don’t have.
If you are alive and healthy, you are blessed.
If you have a home and food on the table, you are blessed.
If you have clean water and clothes to wear, you are blessed.

The list goes on…
So, next time instead of saying how unlucky you are because you don’t have ….., say how lucky you are to be alive.
There is so much to be grateful for.
And once you start focusing on the the things you have, you create more of it to come to you.
Every time you think and talk about what you lack in life, you create more of that lack.
Remember, feelings of jealousy, hatred, anger, competition create lack in our lives too.
Does this mean that you are not allowed to be sad, angry, or frustrated ever?
No, you are allowed to feel all of the above but don’t stay in that feeling for too long.
If you want to talk about it, talk about it with your close friend, family, your doctor, your counsellor, once or twice, and then move on.
Letting go is very important.
Here are some ‘Letting go’ rituals you can follow:
- By writing about the problem on a piece of paper and burning it (safely)
- By holding the problem/person in your palm (figuratively) and shrinking it till it becomes tiny and then blowing on it hard and far away from you 🙂
- You can write on a piece of toilet paper and flush it away forever
- You can write on a piece of paper and make a boat out of it and let it flow away from you forever
Once you have talked about the situation that is bothering you and done one (or all) of the ‘Letting go’ rituals, stop for a moment and think of the outcome you want instead.
Close your eyes and play a mental movie of how you want the situation to be resolved.

You can play this mental movie again and again.
Over time you will be able to create your own preferred outcomes.
This might seem easy but it is very hard, especially when things are going wrong and you are all hassled and panicking, and when you are just starting out.
That is why it is so important to make this a habit.
Start small and practice daily!
Every night before you go off to sleep, take a few minutes and create a visual picture of how you would like your day to pan out.
Then, first thing in the morning repeat the same process while still in bed (you can keep doing it throughout the day too, if you have a few minutes here and there).
Once you get used to doing the above, you can take it a step further and add more detail to what you want and how you want it to work out for you.
Generally speaking, harmful intentions take a lot more effort and time, and karma comes into play as well, so, my advice, steer clear of those intentions ;).
Prioritise and focus on the one thing that is really important to you or you can use general statements covering most aspects of your life.
An example of a general statement could be: My life is full of abundance. I have abundance of good health, loving relationships, wealth and happiness.
Choose what resonates with you and keep affirming that statement.
Our plan is to shift the focus from lack (or what you don’t have) to abundance (or what you have).
The moment you shift your attention from not having something to something you already have, you start feeling a sense of gratitude.
When you feel gratitude, your heart is filled with love and happiness.
This feeling of love and happiness then goes on to create more love and happiness in your life.
It is a vicious cycle, but a Good Vicious Cycle :).
So, get out of the Bad Vicious Cycle of overthinking, complaining, criticising, whinging, whining, blaming etc., as this will only bring more of the same sentiments and situations in your life :(,
Being aware is the starting point to bringing change in your life!
If you are not aware, you will not feel the need to change anything in your life.
But, if your life is full of problems and hardships, that is a sure sign that your thinking and your self talk as well as your general talk needs to be changed.
Stop and think about your life and you will know.
Good luck and hope you have a life full of abundance ?.
