Good morning everyone.
Hope you had a good weekend and are back in the swing of things.
What do you normally do on a weekend? Do you socialise with family and friends, catch up on cleaning and house work, go out for sports or just relax?
I usually try and find time for a cleanup over the weekend, in between school activities and other commitments.
Let’s talk a bit more about cleaning and decluttering, and how it effects you and your well being.
It is very exciting to think that Feng Shui can really improve your life. I am sure most of you cannot wait to try out new Feng Shui tips, to see how they improve your finances, your luck, health and general happiness. But, before diving into Feng Shui, let’s focus on the importance of creating space for new things to come into your life which can be achieved by decluttering.
I am hoping that all of you have used some or all of the Feng Shui tips in your home and have seen positive results too. As you know, Feng Shui can be used to improve your finances, your relationships, and your health too.
Actually, Feng Shui not only enhances every aspect of your life, it can also be used to fix most problems that you might come across in your life. Problems like court cases, relationship breakdowns, joblessness, etc.

Feng Shui is such an amazing philosophy which empowers it’s user to create a wonderful life full of happiness and success.
Now the BIG question I am going to ask is this,
“Is there room in your home/life for new things? Or Is your home over flowing with stuff, stuff that you don’t need or haven’t used in years?”
So, for all those people who have been applying Feng Shui tips in their homes and feel they haven’t had much success, this might be one of the reasons they haven’t achieved what they set out to achieve (besides other Feng Shui reasons). You might want to get rid of all the extra stuff you have been hanging on to, to get unstuck and to receive better things in life. And remember, it is never too late to start.
Get into the habit of going through your rooms, cupboards and drawers on a regular basis. The act of culling can be very therapeutic and it will create more room for better things in your life.
If you have too many clothes in your wardrobe, or too many things in your drawers, then you are actually blocking new things from coming into your life. Overflowing cupboards and drawers create blockages and stagnation in life.
So, what is the solution to this problem?
You need to make a plan today.
A plan to clean out all the extra and useless items from each and every room. Pick a room one by one, till the whole house has been cleared of excess things.

My suggestion would be to start with a room which is the least messy, as it will be the easiest to clean, and it will give you a boost to move on to the next rooms.
You can work at your own pace, but you do need to have a plan. If you keep thinking about doing it, you might not get to it.
You can get a friend or family member involved if you find the task too daunting.
Having an accountability buddy will keep you on track and you will accomplish your goal of a cleaner house, quicker.
I must admit that cleaning is one of my least favourite chores. But, because I know how important it is for the well-being of my family, (and for my sanity too) I get in and do it. If I had my way, I would outsource all the household chores ;).
Now that you are ready to start with your first room, pick a day, put some funky music on and dive in.
Move every furniture in that room, vacuum and dust each and every corner, wipe down the windows, and open up all the windows and doors.
Get rid of excess stuff lying around the room. If you haven’t used it in 6 months or so, chances are you are not going to use it. Keep things which you know you need seasonally, even though you might be using them once or twice a year. You will have to be strong and let go of things, especially if you have a tendency to hoard.
Another thing to remember is that clutter doesn’t have to be just things you don’t use anymore, it could also be created by having too much stuff in the house. You might have a lot of decorative items in your home. If they look old and tired, then give them away. If they are special to you, then give them a new lease of life by repainting them or by giving them a good clean and leave them out in the sun to re-energise them.
Once you have cleaned the room, play some uplifting music and light your favourite candle, incense or spray your favourite essential oil in all the corners of the room and watch the energy lift.
You can also use a bell or a singing bowl to lift the energy. If you don’t have either, you can just use your hands and clap while walking around the room. Make sure you cover each corner of the room and that you clap for a while. You will feel the change in the energy. Do this on a regular basis. You can choose how often you want to do it and pencil it in your calendar.
The idea behind decluttering and deep cleaning is to get rid of stale and stagnant energy and to create a space which is healthy and vibrant. When you create vibrant energy in your home you create space for new and better things to come into your life.
So what are you waiting for? Get moving and achieve all that you have been wanting to achieve now. Obviously, hard work and right action will also be needed 😉
I would love to know how you tackle the problem of clutter in your home.
