As you know, Feng Shui has everything to do with the space you live or spend time in.

As a Feng Shui consultant I get the opportunity to meet new people and visit their homes too.

I don’t mind walking into a cluttered home at all.

Even though it is very important to try and keep your home clean and clutter free, it can be really hard at times and I understand that.

Most people are very conscious about the mess or clutter sitting in their homes.

And that is a very good thing.

We can use that guilt and turn it around to make it your driving force.

If you weren’t even aware of the extra stuff that was lying around in your home, you wouldn’t even think of getting rid of it, right?

Being conscious about the clutter is a good thing.

But I don’t want you to feel bad or guilty about it either.

We get busy with other things in life and cleaning the house, which is such a boring job anyways, takes a back seat.

But, it is important to keep the energy moving in your space.

Stagnant energy in the home creates obstacles in your life ~ Shelly Singh

It can create problems relating to your health and wellbeing, money, relationships, and your overall success and happiness.

So, instead of feeling bad about it, why not get the other family members involved, especially the kids (teach them at a young age and they will learn to keep their space clean all through their lives), and set a day and time for a good clean of the house on a regular basis.

You will have to see what works for you and organise accordingly.

Or, you could outsource it to someone.

I recently invested in a robotic vacuum cleaner and am loving it. Rosie, my dog wasn’t too impressed though 😉

The thing to remember is that the returns that you get by keeping your home clean and clutter free far outweighs the money and time you spend doing it.

Like all the Feng Shui tips, clutter, when cleared and kept at bay, makes an impact on your life instantly.

And unlike other Feng Shui tips, this is a tip which can be seen and felt instantly, as it will show a marked improvement not only in your space, but in your productivity and mood too.

Being constantly aware of your personal space and working towards keeping it clean is half the battle won ~ Shelly Singh

For the rest of the half, plan the day and time, put some nice music on and get started.

I have a few favourite Bollywood dance songs on my playlist which get me in the mood every time.

Choose your song and get started.

And, feel free to share your pictures of before and after the clean up 🙂

Here’s to a happy and squeaky clean home.

Have a wonderful weekend.
