Hi there!

I have a question for you ?.

What are your thoughts on ceiling fans? Do you think they can effect your luck and health?

If you have been following my blog for a while, you will be able to answer his question quite easily ☺️.

And, the answer is “Yes!”

Yes, ceiling fans can have a negative effect on your luck and especially on your health, if you sleep or sit right under it.

In Feng Shui we always try and avoid sitting or sleeping under anything that can send negative energy towards us.

Some examples of things that can send negative energy are: pillars, corners of walls, tables, cabinets or buildings, beams, or anything that is big, sharp and it right in your line of view. This will include ceiling fans and any light fixtures which are big, pointy or threatening to look at.

When you have a ceiling fan (or a light fixture) right above your bed, it will impact your health.

Depending on which part of your body is right under the fan (or light), over time, it will start showing some problem.

Now, another thing to keep in mind is that the health issue might not show up straightaway. If a person continues to sleep in the same place/position for years on end, health problems will definitely start to show up in their life.

You might also feel oppressed or stuck in life when you sleep under a ceiling fan.

These physical features or structures always have a negative effect on people if they are sitting or sleeping under them.

The best thing to do is to move away from the direct line of sight of the structure if you can.

If you can’t move, place a barrier in between the threatening structure and yourself.

The impact is worse when you are too close to it.

So, it would be best to move your bed away so that you are not sleeping right under the ceiling fan.

This might not be easy especially if the bedroom doesn’t have room to move the bed.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you should still be sleeping with your bed head facing one of your good directions.

If you are already sleeping towards your good direction then instead of moving the bed around you can remove the ceiling fan and get a pedestal fan or an oscillating tower fan.

And for other threatening structures the best thing would be to move out of the line of sight but if you can’t then create a barrier between the structure and yourself.

Here are a few examples of how you can create a barrier:

  • Place a tall potted plant
  • Place a screen
  • Put a curtain
  • Place a cabinet
  • Hang a crystal on top of the corner

Once you start understanding the impact that ceiling fans and other threatening structures can have on your life, you will definitely avoid sleeping under them or sitting near them.
