Bathrooms and toilets are considered to bring bad luck according to Feng Shui.
If you think about it, the energy that emanates from toilets and bathrooms is negative. And, that is exactly why Feng Shui is against having fancy bathrooms and toilets. They should be kept simple and small, as they create negative energy wherever they are placed.

“Bathroom/Toilet in the North of the house“
A bathroom/toilet in the North creates bad luck in career, as North is the direction related to ‘Career luck’.
- Having a bathroom in the North can create problems with your bosses and colleagues. It could mean that you don’t get along with your colleagues, or could mean your boss overlooks you every time there is a chance of a promotion etc.
- You might find it hard to find a suitable job or any job, for that matter.
- You might suffer from office politics.
- Promotions will be hard to come by.
- You might be used as a scapegoat by others when things go wrong.

Let’s have a look at what you can do if your bathroom is in the North sector of your house or office.
Solution:
- You can place something made of ceramic or crystal in the bathroom.
- You can also place a stone in the bathroom. The stone should be relative to the size of the bathroom. If you put a single small stone, it will not be very effective. If you are using small stones, then place a few of them together. Otherwise, you can use one large stone there.
- Avoid using too much Blue or Black in the bathroom decor.
- Keep the bathroom/toilet door closed at all times.
- Keep the bathroom/toilet clean.
- You can cover the bathroom door by using a curtain to symbolically make it disappear.
- You can also place a mirror on the bathroom door, which again makes it disappear symbolically, thus, minimising it’s effect.
Once you start understanding the basics of Feng Shui, and how the elemental cycles work, you will be able to use it to improve every aspect of your life.
You can start being more creative and have fun while improving your life.
