Let’s have a look at your work desk today :).
How does it look?
Are you happy with what you see?
Is it well organised or is it cluttered?
Do you enjoy spending time there or do you try and get out of there?
I know that’s a lot of questions but these are the questions that will give you an insight into your success, productivity as well as your creativity at work :).
Now that you have these questions in your mind, have a look at your desk (and the room) again.
How do you feel?
The state your desk/room is in can really affect the state of your work life.
There are a few simple things you can do to improve your productivity, creativity and success by rearranging your desk/room.
- Make sure there is no clutter in your room
- Everything should have a home/place to go to, and if there is too much stuff, maybe you need to rethink what needs to stay and what needs to go
- Clear out your desk completely and start afresh, I would recommend the same for each room of the house
- Make sure that you are facing one of your good directions when you are at your desk. This Feng Shui tip alone can turn your luck around 🙂
- Place some Earth element like smooth round crystal/glass balls to help ground the energy
- You can also place something Yellow on the desk
- Use a minimalist approach when setting up your desk
- Place something that inspires you. It could be a picture of a loved one or something that you are aspiring towards
- The presence of pen and paper fosters creativity, according to Feng Shui, which is also a staple of all desks
- Place a healthy plant on the desk to bring the energy of growth in your career
- You can also place a small water feature on your desk, for continued growth and movement. Do keep in mind that the water feature will make your life more busy. If you find it is getting too busy, turn the water feature off for some time 😉
- And, keep the annual Flying Star Update in mind and apply the Yearly Flying Star Updates each year
