As a Feng Shui Consultant I get this question quite a lot…
“Where do I start? I want to try Feng Shui but I am not sure where to start.”
My suggestion is always the same.
Start small.
Start with the simple tips that I share with you.
Like, placing a water feature/water fountain in the Southeast direction to improve your money luck.
See what works for you.
Apply one tip a day or one tip a week.
But, the main thing to remember is to ‘Apply.
Once you have placed all the Feng Shui remedies in place, you should feel an improvement in your life.
Usually, Feng Shui works very quickly.
If you don’t feel or see any improvement, chances are, you have not applied the Feng Shui remedy/Feng Shui cure properly.
Check the compass direction again to see if the directions were inadvertently wrong!

Every compass direction has a meaning in our life.
And, depending on what you have in each compass direction at home, office or business, your luck gets effected, either positively or negatively.
Have a look at each compass direction in your home, office and business and follow these three steps for each direction:
- Look out.
- Clear out.
- Activate
So, what do these three steps mean?
- Look out for clutter, bathrooms, toilets, store rooms in each direction
- Clear out clutter from each direction. Or fix the bathroom, toilet or store room by using the right element (you can get in touch with me if you don’t know how to do this)
- Activate each direction with the right element
Once you have done these three steps, you will have done the basic layer of Feng Shui.
Let’s have a quick look at each compass direction and what kind of luck it brings to you.
North: If you have job related problems, look at the North part of your home, office or business.
South: If you are suffering from bad reputation, then you need to look at South direction, at home and at work.
East: If you have Health related problems, look at East part of your home.
West: If you cannot have children or have problems with your children, look at the West part of your home
Southeast: If you have money problems, look at, clear out and activate the Southeast direction of your house, room or office.
Northwest: If the Patriarch or Male head of the family is experiencing bad luck, check the Northwest of your home.
Southwest: If the Matriarch or the Female head of the family is experiencing bad luck, see what you have in the Southwest part of your home.
Northeast: If your personal development is at a standstill, check the Northeast sector of your home and office.

Feng Shui does not have to be complicated to work.
If you follow these three simple steps for each direction, you will be able to fix the problems and improve your luck.
It is only when we go deeper and look at the other layers of Feng Shui, is when it gets more confusing and complicated.
How about you take some time out this weekend and start applying these three steps.
Once you do so, you will see and improvement in all aspects of your life, from relationships, money, career, happiness, health and personal development etc.
